CherryActive Capsules are made from the skins of carefully selected Montmorency cherries. The skins are used as they contain the greatest concentration of nutrients so we can pack our capsules with as many nutrients as possible. The skins are freeze-dried to protect these important nutrients and milled to a fine powder to help absorption. The powder is then encapsulated in a 100% vegetarian shell without added fillers or other additives. The Natural Trade Awards are highly-prized accolades. Should I choose CherryActive Concentrate or Capsules?
CherryActive Concentrate is a very powerful antioxidant and counts towards the 5-a-Day target. A 30ml serving diluted with water (we recommend 250ml) probably makes the most powerful antioxidant drink on the market (8260 ORAC units – approximately the same antioxidants as you’d find in 23 portions of fruit and veg).
Some customers prefer the convenience of CherryActive Capsules to get high quality Montmorency cherry compounds into their system. They are very low in carbohydrate per capsule, do not need to be kept in a fridge and can be easily carried when travelling.

How should I store CherryActive Concentrate?
CherryActive Concentrate should be kept, opened or unopened, on arrival, in the fridge or freezer to keep it at its best, as we add no preservatives or other nasties (it is kept preserved by its natural sugars). It has a shelf life of around 12 months in the fridge and longer in the freezer (24 months).
The concentrate is a pretty hardy product and it may keep in good condition outside in a cool environment (eg cool air conditioned office, cold cellar etc). However, to ensure it retains optimum antioxidant properties keep in a fridge or freezer (remember, it doesn’t freeze in a domestic freezer, just gets thicker and this will extend its shelf life even further).
How should I mix CherryActive’s Concentrate?
To make a delicious cherry juice, we recommend a 1 part Concentrate to 8 parts water mixture. Simply pour a two-tablespoon (30ml) serving of Concentrate into a half-pint glass and top up with water, to taste. We also sell a convenient handpump that serves 10ml per stroke straight into your glass with no pouring needed.
Alternatively, why not add CherryActive Concentrate to your favourite fruit juice (goes well with apple or orange juice), smoothie or even natural yoghurt!
How about the CherryActive Cherries?
Our dried cherries are infused with apple juice concentrate and are a healthy, antioxidant-rich snack. We recommend you take these in addition to the CherryActive Concentrate and/or Capsules. They are a delicious and nutritious addition to your diet and count towards your 5-a-day fruit and veg target.
Sprinkle onto your breakfast cereal in the morning, munch as a healthy snack during the day or add to your salads, baking or to stir fries!

Can diabetics take CherryActive Products?
CherryActive Concentrate contains 21g of natural fruit sugars per 30ml serving. However, CherryActive Capsules contain less than 0.5g of carbohydrate per capsule, so may be more appropriate for diabetics to take.
I am on medication. Can I take CherryActive Products?
Although we are unaware of any contraindications with any prescribed medication, CherryActive cannot offer medical advice. If you are unsure, you should consult your doctor or other healthcare professional.
Can I give CherryActive to my children?
Yes! We recommend 10-15ml of CherryActive Concentrate with 250ml water or add a shot to their normal fruit juice. CherryActive Cherries are another great way to get them to take an antioxidant-rich 5-a-day serving!

I train regularly – how can CherryActive products help me?
Recent research has shown taking CherryActive Concentrate regularly can improve recovery rates and reduce muscle pain after intensive training.
Being a powerful antioxidant (8260 ORAC units per 30ml), CherryActive Concentrate can also help “mop up” harmful free radicals. Free radicals can reduce muscle mass and can cause long term damage to other cells and organs.
CherryActive are made from Montmorency cherries, one of the few known sources of naturally occurring melatonin, an antioxidant known to help maintain healthy sleep patterns. Good quality sleep can help the body recover from exercise too.
When and how should I take CherryActive Concentrate?
We recommend taking CherryActive Concentrate within 30 minutes of training. You can take it with water (we recommend 30-60ml CherryActive Concentrate with 250-500ml of water). Alternatively, you can add it straight to your usual protein/carb recovery drink. On rest days we recommend taking it at breakfast with water, fruit juice, smoothie or with natural yoghurt.
Many customers take 30ml CherryActive Concentrate twice during training days to optimise antioxidant intake.
When and how should I take CherryActive Capsules?
CherryActive Capsules are convenient, light and low-carb. We recommend the capsules are taken if you are on a low-carb period of training (eg cutting weight), if travelling (and find the capsules more convenient to carry) or before sleep to help with sleep patterns (no liquid to wake you up in the middle of the night).
Some athletes take CherryActive Concentrate after training and a CherryActive Capsule before bed.
And CherryActive Cherries?
CherryActive Cherries are an antioxidant and carbohydrate-rich snack. These can be snacked on during the day or to help reload your muscle’s glycogen supply after training. Some endurance athletes use them during events as a carb source during races and long training runs/cycles.
