Beetroot - a healthy alternative to Viagra

With Pfizer’s patent for the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) now expired, the market for cheaper alternatives has opened up.  In 2012 the NHS alone spent £40M on Viagra, and although still a prescription drug, sales through pharmacies and online websites are on the increase.  The risk of obtaining a fake product has been lowered, as companies such as Superdrug online doctor now offer three types of genuine erectile function pills, which can be obtained with a prescription given by their online doctors.

The Romans famously consumed beetroot to boost their bedroom antics, and what stimulated the senses in Roman times is still working today.  With many people of our age describing sex as a chore, or feeling too tired, stressed or unattractive, should we be making more effort to bring the bounce back into our bedrooms?

You can’t beat Beetroot!

Recent research has revealed that beetroot juice contains significant levels of dietary nitrate, which is then converted into nitric oxide in the blood.  Nitric oxide is a gas, which widens blood vessels, and aids blood flow to every extremity!  Beetroot is also high in boron, the mineral that stimulates the production of sexual hormones.  It helps the body metabolize and use estrogen in women, and increases testosterone levels in men.

To benefit from the boost that beetroot will give your body increase the amount in your diet by simply baking fresh beetroot in foil with a drizzle of oil for about an hour depending on size.  Add to salads, soups and smoothies, and try the exciting (literally) new product from the makers of CherryActive, BeetActive Concentrate.

BeetActive Concentrate

As well as functioning as a powerful libido-booster, BeetActive also greatly improves general health by supplying you with a host of vitamins (A, B and C), antioxidants, amino acids and minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium and more).  The nitrate included in BeetActive provides an additional health benefit by lowering blood pressure, with a recent study documenting dramatic reductions in blood pressure just hours after drinking beetroot juice.  More and more of us, one in three of us in fact, and 16 million in the UK, suffer from high blood pressure.  Aspects of modern lifestyle are to blame, such as eating an unhealthy diet, not getting enough exercise, smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.  BeetActive has no added preservatives, and one glass counts as one of your five a day.

Fertility expert Marisa Peer comments, “It’s no secret that a healthy and robust sex life is a major contributor to staying young and feeling healthy and confident.  Unfortunately, many people experience a reduction in their libido as they grow older, which is the opposite of what their body needs.  An all-natural product such as BeetActive, which is full of dietary nitrate, helps increase blood flow and widens blood vessels.  It is also full of vitamins and minerals such as boron to keep you active and energetic.  Beetroot is one of the healthiest foods and wonderful for your endocrine system and taking it in juice form means your body absorbs all its nutrients easily.”

Simply pour a little BeetActive Concentrate into a glass of water (each 210ml bottle makes approx. 7 glasses/2 litres of diluted juice) or add to apple juice or a smoothie.  Alternatively, drizzle BeetActive over a mixed salad for a delicious dressing!
